بمبادرة إنسانية قامت جمعية أفكار للتنمية والإغاثة وبدعم من الندوة العالمية للشباب الإسلامي مكتب كوردستان بتوزيع الخبز للاجئين السوريين في مخيمات القائم .
بدء العمل بتنفيذ مشروع تجهيز الخبز للاجئين السوريين في القائم بتاريخ 1/1/2013 للمخيمين الأول والثاني وكان عدد المستفادين من هذا المشروع 6200 لاجئ سوري وكان لكل لاجي 3 أرغفة من الخبز يوميا يوزع 1 رغيف صباحا 2 رغيف مساء عن طريق تأجير سيارات خاصة لذلك عدد 2. ويشرف على عملية تجهيز الخبز وتوزيعه مشرف عمل ويكون مشرفا أيضا على آلية التوزيع في المخيم والتنسيق مع الجهات ذات العلاقة في المخيم وهي وزارة الهجرة والمهجرين والمفوضية السامية للاجئين والإغاثة الإسلامية .ويتم توزيع الخبز على معتمدين عدد 25 داخل المخيم وهم سوريين أصلا في كل قطاع شخص واحد يسمى المختار وهذا النظام معمول به داخل المخيم حيث يكون هذا المختار مسؤول عن توزيع الطعام والمواد الغذائية التي توزع على اللاجئين من قبل مفوضية اللاجئين وفق قوائم تشمل أعداد اللاجئين في كل قطاع . معتمدة من قبل إدارة المخيم استمر العمل لمدة شهر واحد.
